THE OFFICIAL PUBLIC GUIDE
Tour
Rules
The authoritative guide to scoring points, completing stages, earning and spending team tokens, and competing for Tour jerseys.
01 · POINTS SCORING RULES
Every eligible mile and climb counts.
Distance and elevation points are calculated separately, rounded to the nearest whole point, and then combined into the participant's activity score.
- 1st+50
- 2nd+40
- 3rd+30
- Head-to-head+50
An organizer may set additional percentage bonuses for a stage: a distance bonus and an elevation bonus that can apply together, or a single all-activity bonus that replaces both. Each percentage is added to the standard points, so +300% pays 4× and +1,000% pays 11×. They are applied before podium and head-to-head bonuses.
Every participant who reaches at least 1,368 verified vertical feet during Stage 14 earns a fixed 200-point bonus in honor of those lost in the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. The award counts toward the individual stage score, team score, overall-points classifications, and finisher milestones, but it does not add elevation or change King of the Mountains standings.
A team needs at least three active members. Its three highest eligible individual scores form the stage subtotal before team tactics.
For organizer-selected stages, participants are paired as closely as possible in the entering points standings. Teammates are never paired against each other, and an unavoidable unmatched participant receives a bye.
Participants independently select Apple Health or Google Health Connect for workout distance and elevation, and Apple Health or Google Health Connect for steps. Only the selected source in each category counts, preventing connected copies from being combined. Synced data arriving after the stage cutoff does not affect scoring. Manual entries require organizer approval.
Team tactics change the team score only. They never change individual points, stage placements, milestone tokens, or jersey standings.
02 · STAGE & TOUR FINISHERS
Reach the threshold. Earn for the team.
Live stage totals include activity points, any organizer stage percentage, and earned fixed threshold awards such as the Stage 14 elevation tribute. When the organizer finalizes the stage, podium and enabled head-to-head bonuses are added to the effective total used for final milestones. The head-to-head bonus is 50 points unless the organizer sets a different Face-Off winner bonus for a featured stage. Finisher milestones award tokens—not additional points.
Effective points or approved steps in one stage

Recognition only · no points awardEarn Elite Stage Finisher in at least 15 of the 21 stages, confirmed after each stage is finalized.
Recognition only · no extra points or tokensPoints and steps are independent qualification paths: partial values never combine. Steps do not contribute to individual points, team scoring, placements, or tactics. Elite Stage Finisher replaces—not adds to—the standard award, so point and step qualification never stacks. Either status counts as one completed stage toward Tour Finisher.
Elite Tour Finisher requires 150 effective points OR 10,000 approved steps in each of at least 15 distinct finalized stages. You may use a different qualification path in different stages; both paths in one stage still count only once. Earlier finalized elite stages count automatically. Unfinalized or reopened stages remain provisional. Elite Tour Finisher also satisfies Tour Finisher and does not change scores, rankings, stage bonuses, or token awards.
03 · EARNING TOKENS
Everyone can strengthen the team.
Participants earn tokens into one shared team balance. Token earning is separate from the team's top-three stage score, and only the active captain can spend the balance.
PERFORMANCE TUNE-UP
Choose the Tune-Up that works for you.
- Exercise of the Day: each 50-rep threshold earns the token value posted for the stage in which that threshold is completed. The organizer sets each stage's value; the default is 1 token, and unused repetitions carry forward.
- Choose Your Own Tune-Up: one approved strength, yoga, mobility, Pilates, or other purposeful movement session per stage earns that stage's posted token value and requires a private workout screenshot.
- Performance Tune-Ups never earn Tour points.
CONNECTION & COMMUNICATION
Connect and practice communication.
- Default Networking Chat rewards are 1 token each for a cross-team chat, 2 each for an industry match, 5 each for a stage Face-Off pairing, and 1 for a chat outside the competition. The organizer may set different rewards for a stage; the app displays the applicable stage values before submission.
- Every Networking Chat requires a private screenshot or selfie and organizer approval; participant confirmation is not required.
- A five-minute English session through WitSpeak or a screenshot-verified non-English session earns the stage's posted reward; the default is 1 team token. One approved session per language option is allowed per stage.
TIMELESS LEADERSHIP PROJECT
Practice leadership with purpose.
- Complete an available organizer-posted activity and provide the required response or completion code.
- Each approved completion earns the team-token amount posted for that activity; the organizer sets the amount when creating or editing it.
- Activities may be one-time or repeatable according to the instructions posted for that activity.
04 · TACTICS MARKETPLACE RULES
Spend the team's tokens at the right moment.
Only the active team captain may buy tactics. Each tactic shows its token cost, activation window, conditions, and compatibility, while the marketplace explains the live demand adjustment.
With one purchasing team, the tactic keeps 100% of its advertised bonus. With two teams, each receives 90%; with three, each receives 80%. The multiplier continues down to a 50% floor and recalculates as stage demand changes.
Captain chooses
Only the active captain can authorize a purchase from the shared team token balance.
Demand changes
The current stage multiplier reflects how many teams have activated the same tactic.
Purchase activates
Tokens are deducted when the tactic becomes active; a partnership waits for the invited captain's approval.
Team score changes
Eligible effects combine in team scoring without changing individual points or jersey standings.
Rules that apply across the marketplace
- The demand reduction changes only the positive bonus portion of demand-adjusted tactics. Aero Setup and Climbing Setup use fixed values that demand never changes.
- Compatible effects combine as additions or adjustments to the team score; they are not applied as a chain of multiplying percentages.
- Aero Setup and Climbing Setup cannot be purchased together for the same team and stage, and both must be selected before that stage starts. Aero pays off when elevation points are below 10% of distance points; Climbing pays off above that ratio.
- Strategic Partnership becomes active only after the invited captain accepts; both teams are charged at confirmation.
- Tour-duration tactics begin with the selected future activation stage and never apply retroactively.
- A “+100% bonus” doubles the underlying score. A “+300% bonus” adds three times the score, producing four times the underlying score before demand and other adjustments.

05 · JERSEYS

The Purple Jersey uses approved steps; every other jersey keeps its stated point, distance, affiliation, or elevation measure. One participant may hold more than one jersey, and team tactics never alter these standings.

Blue Jersey
Highest cumulative distance points: 10 points per cycling mile and 40 points per running or walking mile.
White Jersey — Top Student Participant
Highest cumulative overall points among FTMBA, MiM, Master of Finance, MSBA, EvMBA, and BBA participants.

Goizueta-striped team leader marker

Jersey Advantage
If a team member enters a stage holding any individual jersey, the team receives one automatic 2% team bonus. Multiple jerseys do not stack this advantage.
